What We Offer:

I’m Lewis, the person behind Alfonso Gelateria. My love for gelato began in Rome, where I was born and grew up. Moving to the UK in 2010 made me miss the flavours as well as the lifestyle that makes Italy unique. After finishing my degree in Chemistry in 2015, I began experimenting with ice cream recipes, which developed a desire to one day open up my own gelateria. 

SPECIALITY:

Delicious plant-based yummy desserts. There is something for everyone. Artisan hand made ice creams and sorbets in more than 15 mouthwatering flavours.

A really great shake shop. Favourite with us adults and kids.
Still the best shakes ever. They do lots of different flavours but I stick to my favourite Banana milkshake. I’ve tried them in other places but no one can make them like the Shake shop. So glad they opened one in Carterton.
They do a brilliant milkshake I had a banana one to die for and staff a friendly.

Best ice cream place in Oxford, no competition. Although the price initially seems a little high – IT IS SO WORTH IT ! I had the most insane creamy melt in your mouth pistachio ice cream which was just divine. The staff member was so nice and told me about where the owner got the ingredients from. I will be getting a pint to gift to a fellow ice cream lover for birthdays. They also do ice cream cakes which is super cool.
Wow, the gelato here is great! I had the chocolate and hazelnut and the pistachio gelatos, both of which were excellent.
Best Hot Chocolate I have ever had! *voted the best in the UK* apparently.. I agree 😍 Can’t wait to come back to taste the waffles
