What We Offer:

We offer ensemble teaching for home-schooled children at the Centre for Music on Wednesdays. This group gives children the opportunity to play and develop their instrumental skills in an ensemble environment. The group is open to players of any instruments, including classical, rock and percussion, from a beginner level. Music is specially arranged for the specific instruments and abilities in the group, to enable students to learn pieces at their own level and pace, in addition to working towards end of term performance opportunities. The emphasis is on having fun and learning together – we look forward to welcoming your child along. As a not-for-profit organisation, we strive to improve our services by reinvesting all the profits from the business back into the school. We are located in the heart of Oxford, Bayswater Road.

We have been building our arts education community for over 30 years, having opened our doors in 1989. It is unusual to find a facility like ours in a village, but Sutton Courtenay is where our founder and manager – Lindsay MacKenzie – grew up.
