Nursery school offers funded places for two to four year olds, led by early years specialist teachers and nursery nurses during term time. This is a wonderful nursery. My child loved being here and as parents we felt happy leaving him there. He had so many lovely experiences during his time at The Slade. We were very sad to leave.

We are a small, nurturing, community-led nursery and preschool for 2-4 year olds. We’ve been at the heart of Hinksey Park since 1969 (formerly ‘Lake Street Playgroup. We are passionate about learning through play. We see young children thrive when they have space for their own creative free play, under the care of attentive, supportive and trusted adults. We know that when we put young children’s social-emotional needs first, and provide them with stimulating natural learning opportunities, we set them up to reap life-long benefits. We are a registered charity, run by local parents, for local families. We are not directly funded by the Local Education Authority or the Council, and we are not part of a franchise or chain. We rely on fundraising and generous donations for all our play equipment, furniture, resources and upkeep.

My son has gone to Lake Street for two years and my two year old daughter started recently. Absolutely love it here. Small, friendly community setting with a lovely garden. Staff are all really experienced and great with children. Very child centred. No hesitation to recommend this to other families.
Lovely nursery. The garden is huge and the space is so much larger than what you’ll find in central Oxford, so much room to toddle! The staff are wonderful too. My daughter formed a lovely bond with her key person –over the holiday and asked me if she could visit her!
They are such a lovely playgroup my child loves it there.

My son absolutely loved this nursery, and he has grown leaps and bounds since he started attending the nursery. My son has stopped temper tantrums, has started making conversations and even communicate better with other children and adults. Unlike other establishments who run the day care for money, Little Treasure day nursery really have the passion and enthusiasm to care for children. Being a full time working mother, I always felt secure and happy about leaving my son at the Day care. They are doing extremely well in childcare.
My son went there since 13 months old till reception year. Highly recommended nursery, always friendly and welcoming. Our son loved it. Also hours are flexible to match your needs. We are grateful to have meet such a wonderful people.
Both my children love the time they spend at Little treasures. All of the staff are very kind and understanding. As a young mother, the encouragement and early years advice I am provided by the staff has been invaluable. Children are thriving and happy under their care. Would recommend 10/10.
